Yemen Legal Affairs Minister visits Taiz military fronts

Yemen’s Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Judge Ishraq al-Maqtari, conducted field visits to several military fronts in the Taiz governorate, including Rasen, Jabal Jardad, al-Kadha, and Bani Bakari.

During her visits, al-Maqtari met with armed forces personnel stationed at the frontlines to assess their conditions, combat readiness, and the challenges they face in the field. She conveyed greetings from the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, praising the fighters for their sacrifices in defending the republic against Houthi militia forces.

The Minister condemned Houthi attacks on residential areas and villages in Taiz, noting the resulting displacement and danger to civilians. She emphasized the government's responsibility to support fighters and care for the families of martyrs and the wounded, calling on civil society organizations and humanitarian partners to increase support for local authorities in liberated areas.
