Yemen military conflict intensifies amid Dawn of Yemen operation

Military confrontations in Yemen have escalated as the Dawn of Yemen operation enters its 26th day. Intense fighting is reported across several fronts, particularly in the Taiz governorate. Houthi forces launched attacks in the Al-Maqatirah district of Lahj province, attempting to advance toward the Tur al-Baha area. In Taiz, clashes occurred in the Al-Aqroud, Sabr, and Al-Maqatirah fronts, accompanied by airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in the Al-Aboos and Hayfan areas.

In Al-Jawf province, government forces reportedly regained control of significant portions of the Huwayshiyan mountains east of Al-Hazm, a move described as a strategic development for supply lines.

On the regional security front, the Saudi-led coalition announced the interception and destruction of a Houthi-launched drone in the Makkah region. Concurrently, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held several diplomatic calls with defense officials from Germany, Spain, Canada, and NATO to discuss bilateral military cooperation and regional stability in response to Houthi attacks.
