Yemen military reports killing four Iranian experts in Taiz

The Yemeni government has announced a significant military escalation in Taiz, claiming the deaths of four Iranian experts specialized in operating drones and missiles. Colonel Majed Abdullah Al-Nazili, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that these deaths confirm ongoing Iranian support and expertise provided to the Houthi militia.

In response to the escalation, the Yemeni military reported conducting 756 targeted operations over a 72-hour period against Houthi positions in several fronts, including Taiz, Marib, and Al-Jawf. These strikes utilized airstrikes, drones, artillery, and snipers to target Houthi reinforcements, weapon depots, and missile launch platforms.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the military strikes, describing them as violations of Yemeni sovereignty and the UN Charter. Iran specifically denounced airstrikes in Taiz and the cities of Khabb and Al-Sha'af, expressing readiness to support a resolution based on an agreed-upon roadmap.
