Yemen Ministry of Public Works signs road rehabilitation contract

The Yemeni Minister of Public Works and Highways, Hussein Awad al-Aqrabbi, attended the signing of a contract to maintain and rehabilitate the fifth section of the Al-Abr – Ataq international road in Shabwah Governorate. The project covers 16.96 kilometers and is funded and supervised by the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund.

The contract was signed between the Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Ali Mohammed Amer, and Ayadh Contracting and Logistics Services. This initiative is part of a broader government effort to improve infrastructure, enhance traffic safety, and facilitate the movement of goods and citizens between provinces.

This project follows the previous signing of a contract for the sixth section of the same road, which spans 15.45 kilometers. Together, these two sections will total 32.41 kilometers of rehabilitated international highway.
