Yemen National Defense Council raises military readiness

The Yemen National Defense Council, chaired by President Rashad al-Alimi, held a meeting to discuss the country's national situation and the combat readiness of the armed forces and security services across various fronts.

The council addressed executive measures regarding general mobilization, safe returns, the continuity of essential services, and humanitarian responses for displaced persons affected by Houthi militia escalations. In response to recent militia activities, the council issued an urgent call for citizens to stay away from Houthi mobilization sites and to report any suspicious movements.

During the session, members reviewed reports on field visits to frontlines and discussed efforts to mobilize international support following participation in the 81st UN General Assembly. Additionally, the Prime Minister provided briefings on economic conditions and government emergency preparedness measures.
