Yemen Prime Minister warns of Houthi security threats
Yemeni Prime Minister Shayea Al-Zindani met with the Governor of Al-Hodeidah, Hassan Taher, in the temporary capital of Aden to discuss the recent military escalation by Houthi forces. Al-Zindani emphasized that the objective of restoring full state authority remains a fixed national goal and noted that military shifts in contact lines do not signal the end of the conflict.
The Prime Minister reported that Houthi actions in the West Coast and Al-Hodeidah have led to severe humanitarian consequences, including forced displacement, killings, kidnappings, and the seizure of property. He stated that the government is documenting these violations to ensure perpetrators are held accountable both locally and internationally.
Furthermore, Al-Zindani warned that Houthi escalations, supported by Iran, have evolved beyond an internal military matter into a comprehensive threat to regional and international security. He specifically cited Houthi missile and drone attacks against civilian and vital facilities in Saudi Arabia as part of a broader destabilization effort.
