Yemen President Rashad Al‑Alimi Calls Saudi Partnership Strategic

President Rashad Al‑Alimi said the partnership between Yemen and Saudi Arabia is a strategic choice grounded in history, geography and a shared destiny. He praised Saudi Arabia’s political, economic and humanitarian support, urging an effective security and development cooperation framework after the restoration of state institutions. Al‑Alimi made the remarks during the constitutional oath ceremony for the new governor of Saada, Turki bin Qamshi, in Riyadh, emphasizing the importance of ending the war, rebuilding Saada, and involving tribal leaders in national reconstruction.

He highlighted the role of Yemeni expatriates in Saudi Arabia as vital contributors to Yemen’s economy and called for continued Saudi commitment to Yemen’s stability and development within the Gulf cooperation framework.
