Yemeni Armed Forces launch operation against Houthi militia in Marib and Hadhramaut

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced they carried out a coordinated military operation targeting Houthi militia positions and capabilities across several fronts along the front lines, in response to recent attacks in the Marib and Hadhramaut governorates that resulted in casualties among soldiers and civilians.

Spokesperson Colonel Majid al‑Nazili said the action demonstrated unity of command and control, defended the security of the forces and civilians, and called on citizens and tribal groups to support the armed forces and the legitimate government. He accused the Iran‑backed Houthi militia of looting, imposing taxes, damaging the economy and pursuing external agendas, and pledged continued protection and decisive response to any new attacks.
