Yemen military reports 1,272 operations against Houthi forces

The Yemeni military announced that it conducted 1,272 targeting operations against Houthi positions, reinforcements, and supply lines within a 24-hour period. These actions were part of the “Operation Dawn of Yemen” campaign, which began on October 5 to restore state institutions and regain control of Sanaa.

According to military spokesperson Colonel Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaili, the operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 500 Houthi fighters and field commanders. Additionally, the military reported destroying or disabling 169 vehicles, pieces of equipment, and heavy weapons.

Fighting remains intense across multiple fronts, including Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, Lahj, and Taiz. In Al-Jawf, government forces reportedly secured control of the strategic Huwayshiyan mountains. In Taiz, the military and popular resistance continue to face Houthi attacks, supported by airstrikes and artillery.

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior reported that a Houthi drone strike on a home in western Taiz killed a woman and a child, and injured another woman. Meanwhile, the Presidential Leadership Council reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the military campaign until Houthi control is ended.
