Fighting between Houthi rebels and Yemeni government forces has escalated significantly, resulting in over 80 deaths in southwestern Yemen within a 24-hour period. Houthi military sources reported that at least 55 of the deceased were fighters killed primarily by airstrikes in the Taiz governorate, while government sources confirmed the deaths of 26 soldiers.

The Yemeni Air Force conducted multiple waves of airstrikes in Taiz, with reports citing between 20 and 27 precision strikes targeting Houthi command centers, missile depots, and military vehicles. In Saudi Arabia, the coalition intercepted two ballistic missiles and four drones launched by Houthi rebels over Khamis Mushait and Jazan.
