Yemeni forces neutralize Houthi maritime and land threats in Bab al-Mandab

Yemeni government forces and the National Resistance have reported neutralizing several Houthi threats targeting the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Red Sea. Military sources stated that naval units successfully destroyed a Houthi-operated explosive-laden boat and removed a sea mine discovered in a vital international shipping lane.

Simultaneously, military operations have intensified on land. The National Resistance announced it thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt on the Al-Barah front in the Taiz governorate, an area with high ground overlooking the Red Sea. Local reports indicated heavy clashes involving medium and heavy weaponry in the Al-Barah and Al-Kadha fronts.

These developments occur amid increased Houthi use of drones and missiles against military targets and commercial shipping. The escalation follows the recent deployment of surveillance and combat drones by the Yemeni army and resistance forces, which observers suggest could reshape the conflict's landscape.
