Yemeni forces seize strategic Jabal Numman in Lahj

Yemeni government forces, specifically the Shield of the Nation supported by Al-Amaliqa forces and local tribes, have seized control of the strategic Jabal Numman and Dar al-Kafir sites in Lahj Governorate. The operation was described as a rapid military maneuver involving a night infiltration, followed by a siege and a dawn assault.

The capture of these heights is considered highly significant as Jabal Numman overlooks key supply lines between the Al-Wazi'iyah districts in Taiz and Al-Mudari'ah in Lahj. Previously, Houthi militias utilized these positions to monitor the region and launch shelling attacks against surrounding villages and military sites.

According to military statements, the operation forced Houthi elements to retreat, leaving behind significant losses in personnel, weapons, and ammunition. This territorial shift aims to secure residential areas in Wadi Al-Mudari'ah and Al-Wazi'iyah, while cutting off infiltration routes used by the militia.
