Yemeni forces target Houthi militia in Al Bayda and Taiz
The Yemeni Armed Forces have reported a series of military operations targeting Houthi militia elements and equipment across several provinces. Air strikes were conducted in Al Bayda and Taiz, specifically targeting areas including Al Mokha, to strike military assets and personnel.
In the Taiz governorate, government forces and popular resistance successfully repelled Houthi attempts to infiltrate strategic locations, including the ‘Haijat al-Abd’ road, which serves as a vital link between Taiz and the temporary capital, Aden. Military officials stated that these clashes resulted in significant losses for the Houthi forces, including the destruction of military vehicles and casualties among their ranks.
The escalation follows a pattern of increased military activity on multiple fronts, including Marib, Al Jawf, and the West Coast. These developments occur amid heightened tensions in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab regions, underscoring the strategic importance of the coastal fronts in the ongoing conflict.
