Yemeni House of Representatives calls for state restoration amid Houthi escalations

The Yemeni House of Representatives issued a statement declaring a decisive moment for the nation to restore its state and end the Houthi coup. The Council called for national unity, urging citizens, tribes, and national forces to rally around the armed forces and security agencies to protect the republic and sovereignty.

The Council strongly condemned recent escalations by Houthi militias, which it described as being supported by Iran. The statement highlighted attacks on civilians, vital installations, and economic facilities within Yemen, as well as strikes targeting civilian and energy infrastructure in the southern region of Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the House warned that Houthi movements on the Taiz and West Coast fronts, along with attempts to expand toward Bab al-Mandab, pose a direct threat to Red Sea security and international maritime navigation. The Council affirmed that Saudi security is an integral part of Yemeni and regional stability.
