Yemeni military launches air operations in Al-Mocha

Colonel Mamoun al-Muhajami, assistant commander of the West Coast Security Sector, has announced the commencement of air operations in the Al-Mocha district and surrounding areas targeting Houthi militia positions. Al-Muhajami stated that recent military withdrawals from certain areas were tactical decisions intended to lure Houthi forces out of mountainous and forested terrain into open coastal areas, where they can be more effectively targeted by airpower.

According to military officials, preparations are underway to reorganize command and control centers in coordination with the coalition. Al-Muhajami indicated that Apache helicopters are expected to join the operations within hours. Field reports suggest that government forces in the Al-Kadha area, west of Taiz, have secured their positions and disrupted Houthi supply lines. Local witnesses reported intermittent explosions throughout the night in Al-Mocha, with aircraft observed striking Houthi gatherings near the Al-Mocha airport during the morning.
