Yemeni military reports 950 Houthi casualties in 'Dawn of Yemen' offensive

The Yemeni government's military forces have intensified their 'Dawn of Yemen' offensive against Houthi militia positions. Military spokesperson Colonel Majed al-Nuzaili reported that the armed forces conducted 1,879 precise targeting operations using warplanes, drones, artillery, and sniper units.

According to official military statements, these operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 950 Houthi fighters and the destruction or disabling of roughly 380 military vehicles. The strikes targeted a wide array of assets, including command and control centers, defensive fortifications, weapons depots, and supply lines across multiple fronts.

In the Taiz province, government-aligned forces have reportedly regained control of strategic locations, including the Mahyoub Thabit and Wuthaib hills. The broader offensive, directed by the Presidential Leadership Council, aims to retake territory held by the group and restore state control over the capital, Sanaa. The conflict remains a significant driver of the regional humanitarian crisis.
