Yemeni military prepares for decisive operation against Houthi militia

Yemeni Assistant Defense Minister, Major General Samir al-Sabri, has announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces have completed all logistical and military preparations for a decisive operation to reclaim territories held by the Houthi militia.

Al-Sabri stated that the military is operating under a unified command and operations room reporting directly to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi. The planned large-scale military operation aims to liberate cities and regions currently under Houthi control, including the capital, Sanaa.

The Assistant Defense Minister emphasized the military's readiness and professional discipline, contrasting it with the Houthi militia's tactics. He noted that while the national army focuses on protecting civilians and infrastructure, the militia frequently uses human shields and targets civilian areas in Marib, Taiz, and Mocha.

Al-Sabri also expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to maintain regional stability and international maritime security. He asserted that the military is awaiting final political directives to launch the offensive to end the coup and restore sovereignty.
