Yemeni tribes in Taiz announce general mobilization against Saudi-led blockade

Tribes from the Sharab al‑Rona district in Taiz governorate, Yemen, declared a general mobilization and full readiness to end what they described as aggression and a long‑standing siege. The announcement was made in response to a call by Houthi leader Abdul‑Malik Badr al‑Din al‑Houthi and was attended by senior provincial officials.

The tribal statement praised the Yemeni armed forces, pledged support for missile, air and naval forces to deter the “Saudi enemy,” and expressed thanks to Iran for breaking the Saudi‑U.S. blockade of Sana’a airport. It also voiced solidarity with the people of Gaza and called for unity among Yemen’s northern and southern factions to reclaim the country’s territory and resources.

The mobilization includes opening training centres, organizing demonstrations, tribal gatherings and military exercises, signalling a heightened level of armed preparedness within the region.
