Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council calls for peace or decisive military action in Houthi‑held areas

Vice‑Chairman Abu Zaraa al‑Mahrami of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council addressed citizens and tribes in territories controlled by the Houthi militia, stating the council is fully prepared for a decisive battle and urging the population to choose between a just peace and military resolution. He condemned recent Houthi actions, including the seizure of Yemenia aircraft and the confiscation of the airline’s funds, describing them as attempts to tighten the siege on Yemenis.

President Rashad al‑Alimi also issued four messages to the same communities, pledging that the state will not abandon its people, highlighting efforts to ease humanitarian suffering and keep Sana'a airport operational, and reiterating the council’s readiness to protect Yemen’s sovereignty while keeping the hand of peace extended.
