Yemen's Public Works Minister Calls for Boosted Road Maintenance Efforts

Minister of Public Works and Roads Hussein Al‑Aqrabi chaired an expanded meeting of the Road Maintenance Fund leadership in the temporary capital Aden. The gathering, attended by Fund chairman Ali Amer and other officials, reviewed the status of road maintenance and rehabilitation programmes slated for the coming period.

The minister urged a doubling of efforts, emphasizing stronger supervision, institutional reforms and transparent planning, execution and monitoring to improve service quality for citizens across Yemen's governorates. Fund officials thanked Prime Minister Dr. Shuaib al‑Zandani and the minister for their confidence and pledged to enhance efficiency, transparency and the sustainability of road infrastructure projects.
