Yemen's Shabwah Governor Avad Muhammad bin Al‑Wazir reviews development needs in Jardan district
Governor Avad Muhammad bin Al‑Wazir, head of Shabwah Governorate, visited Jardan district to assess administrative, developmental and service conditions. In a meeting with district director Ahmed Abdullah bin Atif, he reviewed the performance of local authorities, project implementation rates and identified priority needs. He ordered accelerated completion of the urban plan for Jardan’s centre, reinforced police capabilities, and directed legal actions to remove illegal encroachments on public and private land. The governor also instructed that the furnishing of the district administrative complex be added to the investment budget, and that technical studies for a new six‑class school in Al‑Arda and the completion of extensions to Al‑Karif school be incorporated into education project plans.
In a separate statement, the governor praised Kuwait’s humanitarian and development assistance to Shabwah, noting that Kuwaiti funding has supported the construction of seven residential villages, water and dam projects, and upgrades to education, health and basic services. He handed over comprehensive project studies to the Kuwaiti development organization to secure further financing for priority initiatives.
