Yeni Parti expands presence and reaches 500,000 members

The newly established Yeni Parti, led by Özgür Özel, is rapidly expanding its organizational presence across Turkey. The party has officially opened its four-story general headquarters in Ankara, funded through public donations, and is scheduled to begin full operations on August 31.

Organizational activities are accelerating in various provinces, including the opening of district offices in Marmaris, Nizip, Narlıdere, and Çorlu. In Muğla, the party reported reaching 22,000 members within ten days of its local establishment.

As of August 26, the party announced it has surpassed 500,000 members, following a surge of approximately 100,000 new registrations in just two days. This rapid growth has led to allegations from CHP sources claiming that Yeni Parti utilized the existing membership database and infrastructure of the CHP to facilitate these transfers.

While the party focuses on building its structure, it has also faced internal challenges, including a resignation from a founding district official in Araklı, Trabzon, due to leadership disagreements and personal disputes.
