YENİ Parti leads Turkish polls following formation by Özgür Özel

Recent polling data indicates a significant shift in the Turkish political landscape following the establishment of the YENİ Parti, led by Özgür Özel. According to SONAR Research, the YENİ Parti has risen to the first position in general election preference polls, capturing 34.3% of the vote after the distribution of undecided voters. This places the party 4.1 percentage points ahead of the AK Parti, which sits at 30.2%.

Conversely, the CHP has seen a sharp decline, with polling showing its support at approximately 5%, placing it below the required electoral threshold. In presidential preference queries, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan remains the frontrunner with 27.4%, followed by Ekrem İmamoğlu at 11.4%, Özgür Özel at 11%, and Mansur Yavaş at 10.2%.
