Yeni Parti reports over 500,000 members in 15 days

The newly established Yeni Parti has reported rapid membership growth, reaching over 503,000 members within 15 days of its founding. Party leadership, including Deputy Chairman Utku Çakırözer, noted that the membership surge is part of a broader effort to build a 'Turkey Alliance' and move toward a new generation of politics.

Regional reports indicate significant activity across Turkey. In Istanbul, membership has exceeded 100,000, with a target of 500,000 within the first year. Other cities like Denizli and Zonguldak have also reported thousands of new members. The party is currently preparing for its congresses, with the official convention planned for November.

However, the rapid expansion has faced internal scrutiny. In Gaziantep, some party members have raised concerns regarding manual membership registrations conducted at district levels just before the August 26 deadline. Critics argue that these manual entries, which allegedly bypass online systems and fee requirements, could lead to irregular 'mass membership' entries and legal complications.
