Yeni Parti to hold first convention in Ankara

The Yeni Parti is preparing for its first convention, scheduled to take place on November 14-15 at the Ankara Arena Sports Hall. The event will focus on selecting the party leader and organizational executives through a primary system involving party members.

During the convention, the party is expected to address a potential name change and the introduction of a new logo. Currently, the party lacks a formal logo, and officials are considering adding a distinctive symbol to the name or designing an entirely new visual identity.

Regarding leadership, Özgür Özel is expected to be re-elected as general chairman with nearly all delegate votes. The party aims to increase its membership to nearly 1 million before the convention, where approximately 1,300 delegates are expected to vote. The first day of the convention will be dedicated to the general chairmanship, while the second day will focus on electing the Party Assembly.
