Yenişehir hosts nature walk to promote local tourism

Hundreds of nature enthusiasts gathered in Yenişehir, Bursa, for a nature walk organized through a collaboration between the Yenişehir Municipality and the Balkan Immigrants Culture and Solidarity Association (BAL-GÖÇ). The event aimed to promote the natural riches of the Yenişehir district.

The approximately 10-kilometer route began in İnegöl Tekkeköy, passing through Akbıyık Pond and concluding at Çiçeközü Pond. Participants had the opportunity to experience the region's forests, ponds, and rural landscapes while engaging in physical activity.

Yenişehir Mayor Ercan Özel stated that the municipality is working to integrate the district's natural assets into tourism by creating new routes and protecting the environment. BAL-GÖÇ Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salih Metin noted that the event also serves to highlight the rural neighborhoods inhabited by Balkan immigrants.
