Yeongyang County to host chili festival at Seoul Plaza

The 2026 Yeongyang Chili H.O.T Festival is scheduled to take place at Seoul Plaza from the 27th to the 29th. Organized by Yeongyang County, the event serves as a comprehensive marketing platform to introduce the region's agricultural products, culture, and tourism to consumers in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Visitors can purchase Yeongyang chili peppers, chili powder, and various other local specialties directly from producers, including selected farming households, local agricultural cooperatives, and processing companies. The festival aims to secure stable sales channels for local farmers while providing consumers with high-quality products at reasonable prices.

In addition to direct sales, the festival will feature promotional halls for the region's cultural assets, such as 'Eumsik Dimibang', the first Korean cookbook from the Joseon Dynasty. The event will also include themed spaces centered on Yeongyang chili peppers, interactive programs, and various events designed to encourage tourism to Yeongyang County.
