Yeungnam University launches fundraising for Nepal flood victims

Yeungnam University has launched a fundraising campaign to support victims of the massive floods in Nepal caused by climate change in August. The university is collecting donations from its students, faculty, and staff until October 2.

The collected funds will be delivered to the affected residents through the Korean Red Cross to assist in their recovery. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to global social contribution.

Yeungnam University has a history of disaster relief, including participating in aid for the 2015 Nepal earthquake, the 2018 Indonesia earthquake, and local wildfire relief in Gyeongbuk last year. President Choi Oe-chul emphasized that these small contributions can provide hope and strength to those facing unexpected disasters.
