South Korean university relief for Nepal floods

Overview

Following massive floods in Nepal, South Korean universities have initiated various relief and fundraising efforts.

Sun Moon University’s Nursing Department ODA project team delivered emergency supplies, including hygiene kits and sanitary products, to flood-affected areas. This response was coordinated through local partners Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital. The university also announced a fundraising campaign and the launch of a ‘Nepal Disaster Health Recovery Program’ to focus on disaster nursing and community health.

Yeungnam University has also launched a fundraising campaign, collecting donations from students, faculty, and staff through October 2. These funds are intended for delivery to affected residents via the Korean Red Cross to assist in recovery efforts.
