Kayseri real estate market faces decline in expatriate investment
The real estate market in Kayseri is experiencing a period of stagnation. Selim Atasoy, President of the Kayseri Chamber of Realtors, noted that the sector has failed to gain expected momentum this year, particularly following the Ramadan Feast. A significant factor in this decline is the diminishing interest in property investment from expatriates. Atasoy attributed this shift to generational differences, stating that while the first and second generations of expatriates invested heavily in Turkey, the third generation is no longer making similar investments.
In a separate development in Yüksekova, Hakkari, TOKİ (Housing Development Administration of Turkey) has commenced construction on a new residential project. Located in the Esentepe neighborhood, the project consists of three 6-story blocks containing 48 housing units. The construction is being carried out on ground that is considered highly stable to mitigate earthquake risks. A specialized team of 110 personnel is currently working on the site to complete the project according to the planned schedule.
