Yıldız Holding invests $1.25 million in Dataland, the world’s first AI art museum

Turkish conglomerate Yıldız Holding announced a $1.25 million investment in Dataland, the world’s first artificial‑intelligence‑driven art museum opened in Los Angeles on 20 June. Dataland was founded by digital artist Refik Anadol and occupies the Frank Gehry‑designed space at The Grand LA. The museum creates interactive works that change in real time with visitor biometric data, using AI models trained on natural‑world datasets such as rainforest imagery.

Yıldız Holding’s board members Murat Ülker and Yahya Ülker said the partnership extends the group’s long‑standing support for the arts into the digital age, emphasizing that human creativity must remain central even as technology reshapes artistic production. As part of the deal, Refik Anadol will develop a bespoke digital artwork for Yıldız Holding’s collection. Dataland plans future sites in major cities including London, Dubai, Riyadh, Hong Kong and Seoul.
