Yogi Adityanath honors Govind Ballabh Pant on 139th birth anniversary

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant on the occasion of his 139th birth anniversary. Adityanath offered flowers at Pant’s statue and honored his contributions to the Indian independence movement, nation-building, and the development of Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath highlighted Pant’s role as a prominent advocate and freedom fighter, noting his strong legal defense of revolutionaries following the 1925 Kakori train action. The Chief Minister also recalled Pant’s tenure as the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1947, emphasizing his efforts in establishing good governance, implementing land reforms, and working toward economic advancement and social welfare.
