Yogi Adityanath honors Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi on 196th birth anniversary

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to revolutionary Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi on her 196th birth anniversary. He described her as a key figure in the 1857 struggle for independence, noting her sacrifice at the age of 27.

To honor such historical figures, the state government is establishing three new female Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) battalions. These units are named after prominent female revolutionaries: Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi in Badaun, Uda Devi Pasi in Lucknow, and Jhalkari Bai Kori in Gorakhpur. The Chief Minister stated that these initiatives aim to ensure the safety and empowerment of women in society.
