Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall seeks junior high students for producer program

Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall has announced a call for applications for its “Junior Producer” program, a project designed to teach junior high school students about social structures through concert production. Participants will assist in the planning and execution of the “Children’s Day Concert 2027,” scheduled for May 5, 2027.

Under the guidance of professional concert producers, the 20 selected students will engage in various tasks, including scriptwriting, developing production ideas, and public relations. The program includes ten activity days spanning from December 2026 to June 2027, covering everything from stage management to customer service. The project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the industry by allowing students to experience both behind-the-scenes operations and audience interaction.

The concert itself features performances by the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. Following the event, participants will conduct a review session to discuss improvements for future productions, creating a continuous cycle of learning and planning.
