Yongin to host 8th Book Festival on October 9

Yongin Special City will host the 8th Yongin Book Festival on October 9 at the City Hall Plaza. Themed ‘Filling the Blanks of Daily Life with Reading,’ the event will feature an outdoor library, author talks, and approximately 40 experiential zones.

Activities include book picnics with provided supplies, magic shows, and performances. The festival will also host a ‘Book-Free’ event, where approximately 8,000 decommissioned books from libraries will be distributed to citizens for personal use, with a limit of five books per person. Pre-registration for specific zones and author sessions is available through the Yongin City Library website.
