Yoon Han-hong appears before special prosecutor in presidential residence relocation probe

People Power Party lawmaker Yoon Han-hong was summoned to the 2nd comprehensive special prosecutor team on charges of abuse of authority and obstruction of official duties. The investigation targets alleged improper influence by former first lady Kim Keon-hee in changing the site of the presidential residence and in awarding the construction contract to the unlicensed firm 21gram.

Yoon, who served as head of the presidential residence relocation task force under the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, denied the allegations, stating that the construction work began after the president’s inauguration and that he had no involvement in the site change or contractor selection. The prosecutor’s office has also previously questioned other officials and summoned Kim Keon-hee as a suspect in the same scandal.
