York College students assaulted by mob during street takeover
Several female students from York College of Pennsylvania were brutally assaulted by a mob during an apparent illegal street takeover in York, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 13, 2026, near the 300 block of West Jackson Street.
According to victim accounts and video evidence, the students were sitting on the front porch of their off-campus rental home when the confrontation began. The violence reportedly escalated after the students asked a large crowd, which had gathered for illegal street racing, to move off their property. The assailants allegedly dragged the students by their hair, punched, kicked, and used mace on them, leaving some unconscious.
York County District Attorney Tim Barker stated that while the suspects involved are minors and will be processed through the juvenile justice system, they will be held accountable for their actions. Charges being considered include felony rioting, simple assault, criminal trespass, and harassment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, which involved a crowd of over 100 people.
