Youcef Romane appointed Secretary General of Algeria's Interior Ministry

Saïd Sayoud, the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, has officially installed Youcef Romane as the new Secretary General of the ministry. During the installation ceremony, the Minister emphasized the need for increased efficiency, coordination, and speed in executing development programs.

Minister Sayoud highlighted that Romane’s appointment serves to value national expertise, noting his extensive professional background within the General Directorate of Local Authorities. This previous experience is viewed as a significant asset for addressing local management challenges and implementing national policies regarding local governance and sustainable development across the country.

The Minister also instructed the new Secretary General to strengthen coordination between central administration structures and decentralized services to ensure the effective functioning of public services and the consistent application of ministerial decisions.
