Young motorcyclist shot dead in Navolato, Mexico

A young man riding a dark motorcycle was ambushed and shot multiple times by an armed group on the morning of 15 July in the Villa Bonita neighborhood of Villa Benito Juárez, Navolato, Sinaloa. The attackers opened fire from a vehicle, causing the victim to abandon his motorcycle and flee a few meters before being hit again and dying at the entrance of a nearby house. Police cordoned off the scene, and forensic teams recovered several rifle cartridges and began an investigation. No details about the assailants or the victim’s identity have been released.

Authorities from the state prosecutor’s office are handling the case, but the motive and identities of those responsible remain unknown.
