Young musicians perform classical works at regional festivals
Recent musical performances at the XL festival ‘Grad teatar’ and at Knežev dvor have showcased rising talent in the classical music scene.
In Budva, violinist Viktor Huter and pianist Sofija Jović performed the ‘Fratres’ concert at the Santa Marija in Punta church. Their program featured works by Sergei Prokofiev, Francis Poulenc, and Arvo Pärt, transitioning from the intense compositions written during World War II to the meditative works of Pärt.
At Knežev dvor, a string quartet consisting of violinists Matej Mijalić and Marin Maras, violist Marko Genero, and cellist Vid Veljak performed a diverse repertoire. The program spanned from the classical clarity of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to the contemporary soundscapes of György Ligeti and Anton Webern, concluding with Edvard Grieg’s String Quartet in G minor, Op. 27.
