Youth development initiatives launched in Sarh and Moundou, Chad

Various youth development initiatives are being launched in Chad to foster entrepreneurship and technical skills in regional cities.

In Sarh, the association EuroKoul Art organized entrepreneurship and marketing training for adolescents aged 8 to 17. This follows a two-month program where participants learned to craft beadwork items such as handbags, wallets, and belts. The goal is to help young artisans transform their manual skills into sustainable income sources by teaching them how to manage businesses and market their products.

In Moundou, the cultural association ARC EN ZIK launched the first cohort of the Music Tech Hub. This initiative provides training in digital music production to decentralize technical skills away from the capital, N’Djamena. From September to December 2026, eight selected youths will receive free instruction in music theory, audio production software, and composition using professional equipment like MIDI keyboards and computers. The project is supported by the French Embassy in Chad.
