Youth Holiday Games Take Place in Austria and Germany

More than 100 children attended the Eisenstadt Ferienspiel on 24 July 2026 at the MARTIN barracks in Burgenland, Austria. The event, jointly organized by the Militärkommando Burgenland and the city of Eisenstadt, featured a large street‑painting of a peace symbol, virtual‑reality stations, military‑police vehicles and various sporting activities, giving participants a chance to experience the Austrian Armed Forces up close.

In Biebergemünd, Germany, 20 children and teenagers took part in the SSG Biebergemünd Ferienspiele on 29 July 2026. The shooting‑sports club provided supervised sessions with laser rifles, pistols and air rifles, demonstrations of sport pistol and cross‑bow, and a range of coordination games, concluding the day with muffins, ice‑cream and grilled sausages.
