Youth Holiday Events in Austria and Germany

In late July 2026, a series of youth-oriented holiday events took place across Austria and Germany. On 24 July, the Eisenstadt Ferienspiel in Burgenland, Austria, hosted more than 100 children at a military barracks, featuring street‑painting of a peace symbol, virtual‑reality stations, and demonstrations of military‑police vehicles. A few days later, on 29 July, the SSG Biebergemünd Ferienspiele in Biebergemünd, Germany, offered laser‑rifle, pistol and air‑rifle workshops, sport pistol and cross‑bow demonstrations, and coordination games.

The following day, 28 July, civilian summer programs were highlighted in Austria. A holiday camp in St. Wolfgang provided a full day of SUP‑yoga, monster tubing, rowing, kite‑flying, climbing, dodgeball and swimming tests, ending with a sailing regatta and camp‑fire grill. In Vienna, families could spend the day strolling Augarten, enjoying brunch, riding attractions in the Prater, lounging at the Familienbadestrand on the Neue Donau, dining at family‑friendly venues, and watching an evening film at the Urania cinema.
