Youth orientation services expand in Italy
New educational and professional orientation services are expanding across Italy to support youth in making informed career and schooling decisions. In Castelnovo Monti, the Province of Reggio Emilia has launched a new Orientanet point. This service provides individual interviews and expert guidance to students in the Appennino region, aiming to make support more accessible to those living far from the provincial capital.
In Milan, the Youth Orientation Network (Rete Orientamento Giovani) has reported significant demand, receiving 784 requests for support between December 2025 and September 2026. The data reveals that 41% of the young adults seeking help, aged 14 to 35, are currently not in school, training, or employment. Supported by the Municipality of Milan and regional funding, the network has expanded to 23 access points across the city, utilizing 33 specialized operators to assist youth through transitions in their personal and professional lives.
