Youth training and educational reforms launched in Guinea and Burkina Faso
In Guinea, the Guinean Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Entrepreneurship (AGUIPE-E) has launched a week-long training program in Boké for 100 young people. The initiative includes training for 60 participants in job search techniques and 40 in entrepreneurship. Regional officials noted that this program, part of the Independence Week celebrations, aims to improve professional integration and could be expanded to other regions. Mining companies in the area have expressed willingness to support these employment and entrepreneurship initiatives.
In Burkina Faso, secondary school teachers from the Gourma, Gnagna, and Kompienga provinces have completed a 72-hour pedagogical training session in Fada N’Gourma. The training focused on implementing secondary education reforms, specifically emphasizing professional and technical training, scientific and technological education, and the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into the curriculum. The program is part of a broader effort to strengthen the quality and relevance of the national education system.
