YouTube integrates Amazon products into Shopping Affiliate Program

YouTube has integrated Amazon into its Shopping Affiliate Program for eligible creators in the United States. This update allows creators to tag Amazon products directly within Shorts, long-form videos, and livestreams, providing a more seamless shopping experience compared to traditional links placed in video descriptions.

Amazon will provide YouTube with a curated catalog of trending and frequently requested products. The platform is also introducing an auto-tagging feature that can automatically identify eligible Amazon products within a creator’s recent uploads. To participate, creators must be enrolled in the YouTube Partner Program and the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, and maintain active accounts with the Amazon Influencer or Amazon Associates programs.

Creators can track their total daily Amazon affiliate earnings through YouTube Studio. While detailed analytics per individual product or video are not provided, earnings are finalized monthly and paid via AdSense. If a customer returns a purchased item, the associated commission will be deducted from the creator’s balance.
