YouTube TV integrates ESPN Unlimited directly into its platform
YouTube TV has completed the integration of ESPN Unlimited directly into its platform, allowing subscribers to access ESPN content without switching to a separate application. This update includes live coverage of various sporting events such as the US Open, college football, the PGA Tour, LaLiga, and out-of-market NHL games, as well as the full 30 for 30 documentary library.
Subscribers can utilize existing YouTube TV features like unlimited DVR, multiview, and live stats. Certain broadcasts will offer enhanced viewing options, including alternate camera angles, different languages, and home or away team feeds. Additionally, the platform has introduced a link between YouTube TV’s Fantasy View and ESPN Fantasy Football for real-time stat updates.
The integration follows a previous dispute that resulted in a two-week blackout of Disney channels on the service. This move comes as Disney prepares to raise the standalone price of ESPN Unlimited from $29.99 to $31.99 per month, effective September 17.
