Yozgat officials approve new shuttle fees and property leases

The Yozgat Provincial General Assembly has reached several decisions regarding local transportation costs and property management.

Following a request from the Yozgat Drivers Association, new student shuttle service rates have been set for the 2026-2027 academic year. The price for a standard morning and evening shuttle service will increase from 2,750 TL to 3,000 TL. Services including meals or study sessions will also see adjusted rates. To assist families, discounts of 20 percent for two children and 30 percent for three children using the service will be applied. Rates for inter-district travel, such as the Yozgat-Yerköy route, have been updated to 5,250 TL.

Additionally, the assembly decided to postpone the sale of workplaces within the Büyük Sinema İşhanı. Instead of being sold, these 11 units—which include cafes, restaurants, and pharmacies—will be put up for lease for a period of 10 years. This decision follows evaluations regarding the property's central location and potential for future value appreciation, as well as considerations from Court of Accounts audit reports.
