YSRCP demands CBI probe into Andhra Pradesh recruitment controversies

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Andhra Pradesh minister Gudivada Amarnath has accused the Chandrababu Naidu government of attempting to divert attention from the Mega DSC controversy. Amarnath reiterated the demand made by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for a CBI investigation into the Mega DSC-2025 and APPSC recruitment processes.

He highlighted several unresolved issues, including 372 appointments made under sports quotas without regular DSC exams, suspicious sports certificates, alleged audio-video evidence of bribery for jobs, and disputes regarding the ranking of an outsource employee. Amarnath claimed the government failed to defend the DSC in the Legislative Assembly and is now avoiding detailed scrutiny in the Legislative Council.

Additionally, the YSRCP leader criticized the Chief Minister’s visit to Ankapalli, stating that the government is focusing on event management while farmers face drought, crop crises, and unpaid dues. He noted that only about 5,000 hectares of paddy are being cultivated out of 56,000 hectares in the district, prompting calls for an immediate drought declaration. He also questioned the lack of clarity regarding the environmental and resource impacts of proposed data center projects, specifically concerning water and electricity demands in Visakhapatnam.
