Yucatán hosts Enarm 2026 medical residency exam
Yucatán is hosting the National Exam for Medical Residency Aspirants (Enarm) 2026 for the second consecutive year. The evaluation is taking place from September 28 to September 30 at the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center.
Approximately 9,000 applicants are participating in the three-day event, divided into morning and afternoon shifts with an average of 1,500 candidates per shift. Yucatán has emerged as the second-largest venue in terms of the number of examinees.
For local doctors, hosting the exam in the state eliminates the need to travel, potentially saving individuals up to 25,000 pesos in transportation, lodging, and food expenses. Additionally, the influx of participants and their families from other regions is driving economic activity in Mérida's hotels, restaurants, and local commerce.
